Petals grey purple 187A to black A. Labellum grey purple 187A. Dorsal grey purple 187D to 187B, striped 187A. A most distinctive and more than typically dark form of the ? vinicolor" type. What it lacked in shape was more than made up for in the depth of colour - so dark in parts that the light was unable to be reflected with the result that the typical Paphiopedilum sheen was replaced by flatness. A.D. for colour. Stem length 260mm.
